Terms and Conditions: The Coca‑Cola Returnable Consumer Promotion 2026
1. Promoters: This Coca‑Cola Returnable Consumer Promotion (“Competition”) is organised by Coca‑Cola Africa (Proprietary) Limited (“CCA”), Off Limit Communication (Pty) Limited (“OLC”) and VaultBook (Pty) Ltd (“VB”), Coca‑Cola Beverages South Africa (Proprietary) Limited and Coca‑Cola Peninsula Beverages (Proprietary) Limited (collectively the Promoters).
2. Eligibility: The Competition is only open to permanent residents and citizens of the Republic of South Africa of the age of 18 (eighteen) years or older, living in South Africa and in possession of a valid form of identification (South African Identity Document or Passport). All participants must be natural persons; legal entities cannot participate in this Competition, and no prize/s will be awarded to any legal entities. Any minor, or any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant of any of the Promoters, or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by any of the Promoters and/or immediate family members of any of the above persons, its advertising agencies, advisers, dealers, suppliers and bottlers of beverages identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to The Coca‑Cola Company, its affiliates and/or associated companies, or employees of the participating retailers are not eligible to participate in this Competition and are therefore disqualified from participating in this Competition. A participant who has previously won a prize in any Competition run by any of the Promoters in the last 6 (six) months shall not be eligible to participate in this Competition.
3. Agreement to these Terms and Conditions: By entering the Competition, all participants and the winners agree that they have read and understood these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) and further agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions as interpreted by the Promoters, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding. The Promoters reserve the right at any time, without notice, to amend, modify, or change these Terms and Conditions and any prizes, and to postpone, suspend or cancel this Competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time and/or for any reason which the Promoters reasonably deem necessary and without any compensation whatsoever. The names entered in the Competition must correspond with the participants’’ names on the identity document and/or passport of the participant.
4. The Competition is only valid within South Africa. Participants must be within South Africa at the time of entering the Competition, for the verification process and at the time of the prizes being awarded should they be declared a winner, failing which such person will be disqualified and the draw of a replacement entry shall take place under the same terms and conditions as the first draw.
5. Competition Period:
The Competition commences on 23 September 2026 and ends at 23h59 (South African time) on 31 January 2027.
Entries received after the Competition Period will not be considered. Entries will be deemed to be received at the time of receipt and not at the time of transmission. Entries received will be considered final by the Promoters. Incomplete, inaccurate, unclear, erroneous, ineligible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid and thus disqualified. Winners of certain prizes will be selected during the course of the Competition Period.
6. Entry Mechanic/How To Enter:
To enter this Competition and stand a chance to win a Prize, participants must do the following:
a. Participants can enter into this Competition by using the following entry mechanic:
- Unique code mechanic for Coca‑Cola Products:
Participants must purchase a participating promotional product (see Annexure A for a list of participating products) which contains a unique code at participating stores, takeaways and retailers. Each code may only be used once. Not all products have unique codes on them. Promotional unique codes are 10 characters long and consist of a combination of numbers and letters. They do not contain any spaces or symbols. Participants may enter this Competition with as many times as they wish provided that each entry is accompanied by a separate valid unique code and the entry mechanic set out in these Terms and Conditions is completed each time. Each unique code is valid for one entry only. See annexure A for participating products that contain unique codes; and - Scan QR Code and follow the prompts to complete the registration process which will require participants to agree to these Terms and Conditions and provide their first name, surname and an opt-in decision to agree to, or decline to receiving direct marketing messages from The Coca‑Cola Company and CCA. Alternatively, if the participant is unable to scan the QR Code, they may send the word “Hi” to +27 (0) 82 508 9260 on WhatsApp and follow the prompts to complete the registration process.
7. Selection:
Participants may enter the Competition subject to the following conditions:
a. No automated entries will be allowed and all entries must be made by a natural person manually as per the entry mechanic described above.
b. If any entry was made in a manner which in the Promoters’ discretion provides the participant with an unfair advantage over other entrants, such a participant will be disqualified from this Competition.
c. The Promoters shall not be responsible for any lost, damaged, delayed, incorrect or incomplete entries for any reason whatsoever including but not limited to any network, computer or cell phone hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt or proof of a valid entry.
d. The Promoters shall not be responsible for the failure of any technical element relating to this Competition that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted.
e. The Promoters reserve the right to disqualify any claim if fraud or cheating is suspected, including without limitation, through the manipulation of code or otherwise frequently falsifying data, sharing till slips to generate additional entries or when participating despite being a person excluded from participation in paragraph 2. The Promoters reserve the right to block such persons from submitting any further entries when a breach of this clause is detected.
8. Description of Prizes:
Participants stand a chance to win:
a. Tier 1:
i. 1 of 124 Grocery Vouchers valued at R25 000 (Twenty-five thousand Rands) each (“Grocery Vouchers”)
b. Tier 2:
i. 1 of 10,000 vouchers valued at R200 (Two hundred rands) each (“R200 Voucher”);
ii. 1 of 6,000 vouchers valued at R50 (Fifty Rands) each (“R50 Voucher”); or
iii. 1 of 150,000 vouchers valued at R5 (Five Rands) each (“R5 Voucher”).
9. The Promoters shall solely determine the specifications of each Prize and the Promoters’ decision shall be binding and final in this regard. The conditions of each Prize are set out in clause 12 to 15 of these Terms & Conditions. Participants acknowledge that there is no guarantee that they will win a prize in this Competition.
10. The Promoters shall not award a Prize to any participant and/or winner if it is unlawful to supply such Prize to the participant and/or winner. In such instance, the participant and/or winner shall be disqualified and shall immediately forfeit any entitlement to the Prize, without compensation of any nature, regardless of whether the participant and/or winner has been verified as a winner or has received notification that they have been selected as a winner.
11. Forfeiture/disqualification additional conditions: If the Promoters (whether directly or through their agencies) are unable to contact or reach a potential winner for any of the prizes in this Competition, on his or her mobile number used to enter into this Competition after drawing his or her entry for whatever reason within 48 hours from the date of first notification as set out in these Terms and Conditions or if an official winner cannot be contacted within 48 hours from the date of being declared an official winner to arrange the delivery or collection or redemption of a prize as the case may be, or if a winner forfeits a prize for any reason, or if a person is not eligible to enter into this Competition, or if a potential winner fails the verification process after drawing his/her entry for whatsoever reason or if a potential winner or official winner fails to provide any required information within the timelines stipulated or if a winner refuses to accept a prize or refuses or fails to sign and send to the Promoters the acknowledgement of receipt of the prize, then such person will immediately forfeit their chance to win the prize or the prize and will be immediately disqualified from this Competition and an alternate potential winner from all remaining eligible entries (up to 3 (three) alternate potential winners may be permitted at the discretion of the Promoters) will be drawn, at the discretion of the Promoters. If the alternate potential winner/s are disqualified for whatever reason, the applicable prize will not be awarded, and the Promoters will decide what to do with the unawarded prize at their sole and absolute discretion.
12. Winner Selection and additional conditions for Prizes:
Winners of Grocery Vouchers: Each Grocery Voucher prize comprises a total value of R25,000 (twenty-five thousand Rand) which represents the full and final value of the prize (being the equivalent of approximately R2,083 per month for the purchase of groceries over a 12-month period). The Grocery Voucher will be issued to the winner in the form of a voucher bundle comprising of 5 (five) individual retail vouchers, each to the value of R5,000 (five thousand Rand) (collectively, the "Voucher Bundle"), redeemable through the following participating voucher and retail partners ("Participating Partners"): (a) Flash (redeemable at participating Flash retail partners displaying the Flash logo, as set out in Annexure B); (b) Pick n Pay; (c) Checkers / Shoprite / uSave; or (d) Boxer. The winner may allocate each of the five (5) vouchers to any combination of Participating Partners in their sole discretion (and may allocate more than one voucher to the same Participating Partner), provided that the aggregate value of the Voucher Bundle does not exceed R25,000, and the winner may redeem each voucher in any amounts and at any intervals at the winner's sole discretion. Once the winner has made a selection of the Participating Partner allocation in respect of the Voucher Bundle, such selection shall be final and irrevocable and may not be reversed, amended or substituted for any reason whatsoever. The Promoters shall not be liable for responsible for any incorrect or unintended or erroneous allocation made by the winner. Each voucher forming part of the Voucher Bundle shall be valid for a period of three (3) years from the date of issuance to the winner; vouchers not redeemed within the validity period shall lapse and no further claim may be made in respect thereof. For the avoidance of doubt: (a) the Grocery Voucher (comprising the Voucher Bundle) is the winner's sole and entire Tier 1 Prize entitlement under this Competition; (b) the winner will not receive any additional vouchers, top-ups, supplementary payments, or further grocery allocations of any kind, regardless of how quickly or slowly the winner utilises the Voucher Bundle; (c) once the full R25,000 value of the Voucher Bundle has been redeemed or has expired in accordance with the voucher terms, no replacement or further voucher will be issued; and (d) the Promoter shall bear no responsibility or liability whatsoever, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, for the manner in which the winner chooses to utilise the Grocery Voucher, including but not limited to, the rate or frequency of redemption, the selection of Participating Partner/s, the allocation of voucher values across Participating Partners, or the availability, quality, fitness for purpose or safety of any goods or services purchased with any voucher.
Daily draws will be conducted by an independent auditor from 30 September 2026 to 31 January 2027 (inclusive) to select one potential winner. Each daily draw shall select one potential winner from all eligible entries received in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Competition.
The potential winners of the Grocery Vouchers will be notified by VB within 1 week of the relevant prize draw taking place via SMS/WhatsApp/Call using the number that the potential winner used to enter the Competition and will be subject to a verification process where they will be required to provide their full name and a valid identity document. If verification is successful, the potential winners will be declared an official winner, and a confirmation message will be sent. Delivery of the prize will be made within 8 weeks of the winner being successfully verified.
13. Winners of R200 Voucher: Winners of voucher prizes will be randomly drawn during the Competition Period using an automated random computerised competition service conducted by CCA. Participants selected through this process will be notified instantly on the contact number used to enter the Competition that they are potential winners, subject to verification in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Once a voucher is awarded, the winner will receive clear instructions on how to redeem the prize. Each R200 Voucher may be redeemed, in whole or in part, across one or more of the following participating options: an Airtime Voucher, a 1Voucher (for use at participating 1Voucher partners), a Boxer Voucher, or a Flash Voucher, provided that the total value redeemed does not exceed R200.
14. Winners of R50 Voucher: Winners of voucher prize will be randomly during the Competition Period using an automated random computerised competition service conducted by CCA. Participants selected through this process will be notified instantly on the contact number used to enter the Competition that they are potential winners, subject to verification in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Once a voucher is awarded, the winner will receive clear instructions on how to redeem the prize. Each R50 Voucher may be redeemed, in whole or in part, across one or more of the following participating options: an Airtime Voucher, a 1Voucher (for use at participating 1Voucher partners), a Boxer Voucher, or a Flash Voucher, provided that the total value redeemed does not exceed R50.
15. Winners of R5 Voucher: Each consumer who purchases a participating product listed in Annexure A, successfully completes the registration process through WhatsApp for the first time (having never previously registered) and thereafter loads a valid unique code found on the participating pack, will qualify to receive a R5 airtime voucher. Airtime vouchers will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and only until the total promotional allocation of 150,000 airtime vouchers has been exhausted. Once a voucher is awarded, the winner will receive clear instructions on how to redeem the prize. This voucher may only be redeemed for airtime.
16. Once the winner has received the Prize, the Promoters shall not be liable and shall not take responsibility for any product malfunction or defect or manufacturing faults or defects, or damage or loss of or the Prize. Ownership of and risk in and benefit attaching to the Prizes will pass on to the winner immediately. The Promoters do not cover insurance for the Prize once handed over to the winners of this Competition.
17. The Prize winners are obligated to behave responsibly and comply with these Terms and Conditions and all reasonable requests of the Promoters and its agents.
18. Winners accept the Prizes on an “as is” basis and Promoters do not warrant the Prizes’ merchantability or suitability for purpose. The Promoters do not manufacture, sell, or distribute the Prizes and cannot guarantee or warrant their functionality. The Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash or any other item. The Promoters reserve the right in their sole discretion and without notice or compensation whatsoever, to substitute the Prize with any other prize of comparable value, or to withdraw, withhold, and/or cancel a Prize.
19. All winners are first subject to verification by the promoter, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the promotion. If a participant/ winner fails the verification process for whatsoever reason, such person will be disqualified and shall not receive a prize and a replacement draw for a new winner will take place. A participant is not a winner of any prize (whether instant prizes or random draw prizes) even if such participant receives a message indicating that he and/or she is a winner or even if the participant receives an email message saying that he and/or she won, unless and until such participant and their eligibility have been verified and such participant has received official notification that the verification is complete. The Promoters will not accept screen shots or other evidence of winning in lieu of its validation processes.
20. All participants and the winners, as the case may be, indemnify and hold harmless, the Promoters, the Promoters’ advertising agencies, advisers, nominated agents, partners, suppliers and bottlers of beverages identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to The Coca‑Cola Company and their respective affiliates and/or associated companies, from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses of whatsoever nature arising from and in connection with their participation in this Competition and/or their acceptance, possession, use or misuse, and or enjoyment of any Prize.
21. Publicity: The Promoters may require the winners to be identified, photographed and published in printed media, or to appear on radio and television or on social media platforms, digital platforms or any other media platforms, when accepting a Prize or after having received their Prize or any time thereafter. The winners will be given the opportunity to decline to the publication of their images and participation in the Promoters’ marketing and promotional material in so far as it relates to the Competition.
22. Data Privacy: All personal information of the participants will be Processed* (as defined below) in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”) and shall be subject to CCA’s Privacy Policy found at: https://www.coca-cola.com/za/en/legal/privacy-policy and shall be processed by all Promoters. By entering into this Competition, participants acknowledge and understand that: (a) it is mandatory for all participants to provide their personal information in order to participate in this Competition failing which the participants will not be able to enter into the Competition; (b) the participants’ personal information shall be used for the purposes of processing their entry into this Competition and additional purposes as detailed in CCA’s Privacy Policy found here: https://www.coca-cola.com/za/en/legal/privacy-policy. The participants’ personal information collected in this Competition will be collected via the entry mechanic above and will be accessed by all the Promoters for the purposes of this Competition. The personal information will be retained for the duration of this Competition and for additional 5 (five) years from the end date of this Competition to comply with applicable laws. The additional personal information of the potential winners shall be used to verify the details and identity of the potential winners and to deliver the prize or arrange for collection of the prize if they are declared official winners; (c) The Coca‑Cola Company and its affiliates (including CCA, subsidiaries, its bottlers and joint ventures) may contact the participants via email, SMS, social media platforms and through other platforms to deliver marketing communications regarding their products and promotional activities, subject to the participant’s prior consent and in accordance with the provisions of POPIA; (d) they hereby consent to CCA transferring the participants’ personal information outside the Republic of South Africa. Any data transfers to countries that do not offer an adequate level of protection are subject to appropriate safeguards in accordance with the POPIA, to guarantee that participants’ personal information is adequately protected, including standards.
*Process or Processed or Processing means any operation or activity or any set of operations, whether or not by automatic means, concerning personal information, including: (a) the collection, receipt, recording, organisation, collation, storage, updating or modification, retrieval, alteration, consultation or use; (b) dissemination by means of transmission, distribution or making available in any other form; or merging, linking, as well as restriction, degradation, erasure or destruction of information.
23. The Promoters may require the winners to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement and indemnification to enable the Promoters to ensure compliance with these Terms and Conditions and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Should any winner refuse or be unable to comply with these terms and conditions for any reason, such a winner will be deemed to have rejected the Prize and it shall revert back to the Promoters.
24. In the event of unforeseen circumstances or causes beyond the Promoters’ reasonable control, the Promoters reserve the right at any time, and in their sole discretion, to cancel, suspend, amend or terminate the Competition, amend these Terms and Conditions or change the number, nature or value of any Prize.
25. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to limit, exclude or restrict any rights which a participant may have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or any other applicable law. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed from the remaining provisions, which shall remain of full force and effect.

27. These Terms and Conditions and the Competition will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
